What is Acadia of the Lands and Forests?
How was this single and unique region, now divided by both an international boundary and an interprovincial boundary formed?
The exhibit “Disputed Boundaries & Rediscovered Families” sheds new light on these questions by showcasing some archival records that are particularly interesting, but little known until now. For example, visitors will see an atlas of old cadastral maps which are now georeferenced and projected over a modern map. Genealogical enthusiasts will find information about individuals and families now made accessible by the transcription, digitization and translation of previously unpublished material.
